What does a summer nanny do?

Summer Nannies Have All The Fun

Forget flipping burgers this summer! The best way to make the most of the summer months while earning some cash for college is to get a job as a summer nanny. Summer nannies have all the fun. Instead of working behind a counter all day, stuck under some gloomy fluorescent bulbs, summer nannies get to spend time outdoors. As a summer nanny, your primary job is going to be to keep someone else's kids busy and safe. If you've got a good imagination, you'll find lots to do that won't require a lot of cash from the parents. The parents will appreciate you for that and might think about hiring you again next summer. Wouldn't it be great not to have to think about finding another summer job next year?

Summer nannies get to spend the day with the kids flying kites, going to sporting events, visiting the beach, pools, camping, enjoying bonfires, going to playgrounds, and the list goes on. One day you can be the carnival nanny, bringing the kids to the local fair for a day of rides and treats. On another day, you can be geo nanny, showing the kids what it means to participate in geocaching. Geocaching is great fun, teaches kids how to use a GPS device, while exploring nature and their surroundings on the hunt for treasure.

If you want to be a summer nanny, don't wait until June to apply for jobs. Start looking before spring rolls around, while families are just starting to think about who they want to hire for the summer months.
