Ask nanny job applicants about their likes, their tastes in music, television shows -- anything to give insight into the person who may be sharing your home and raising your children. This also helps establish a close relationship with a nanny. Remember that your nanny is a person with a full life, and taking care of children is only a portion of her life. However, it is best to not delve too deeply into private matters with your nanny. Your primary concern should be regarding their childcare philosophy and their experience.
