Part time nanny sharing is an innovative concept that will only work if all parties are flexible and willing to work together. For a part time nanny sharing arrangement to work, the following must be considered:
Both families must decide what the part time nanny's duties will be. Families must decide how they would like to share the part time nanny.Families must be clear about their expectations regarding the nanny's duties. If a part time nanny is going to be watching all the children at one time, will only one house be the site of the child care service, or will the nanny take turns keeping all of the children at each house?How will the nanny be paid? Will she be paid by alternating families each week, or will she be paid by both families each time?What are the discipline philosophies of each family, and how will any differences in these philosophies be handled when all of the children are under the nanny's care?
