There are several accommodations that must be made for live in nanny employment. These include, but aren't limited to, the following:
Sleeping quarters-A live in nanny's employment must include a separate and private sleep area, which is preferably a room and bathroom, as well. Transportation-If the nanny prefers to use her own car, the employing family must reimburse her for gas and wear and tear on her car when it is used for employment purposes. Otherwise, a family needs to ensure that the nanny will have access to a vehicle. Adequate space for personal items-The nanny needs to be able to create a space that she can call her own, with plenty of storage and other amenities, such as a TV, VCR, DVD, etc. Private phone line-While not essential, this is another great accommodation for a nanny.
