Tip of the Week

The definition of a nanny job will differ from one family to another. Some nanny jobs may only involve the care of children, while other nanny jobs may also include some household duties. Most nanny jobs cover basically anything regarding the children, including the following:

Discipline-Of course any discipline should fall under the parents' specific guidelines. Cleaning-In many cases, cleaning may only include chores specifically associated with the children, such as cleaning their rooms, bathrooms, play areas, and dishes. Entertainment-Again, parents should already have made their preferences known regarding entertainment and activities, including how much TV is allowed. Daily lessons-A nanny's job description should also include the daily lessons that surround child care, such as manners, behavior, and even reading or math practice lessons. Chauffeuring-A nanny's job description may also include running children from one activity to another. Feeding-Cooking and feeding the children may also be included as part of a nanny's job.
